Job Description
We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow platform developer who is strong in UI Builder who will work directly with the onshore ServiceNow developers and UX team, develop and troubleshoot as part of the sprint but also do in-timezone collaboration and troubleshooting as the single onshore member of a large offshore Client development team.
The project is at ServiceNow itself, building out a large new SOM implementation internally. The role may end up working with product development as well over time. We need someone in the Santa Clara, CA area who can go in and whiteboard and collaborate with the ServiceNow team in person a couple of days a week.
We are seeking someone with hands-on expertise with custom development across the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be strong in UI Builder (including custom widgets in Seismic), Client and Server Scripting and Script Includes, and be conversant in Service Portal, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Rest Integrations, with added advantage if certified application developer and experienced in CSM, NowAssist, and Agentic AI implementations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
* Build and maintain Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Integration APIs.
* Develop and enhance Service Portal components, Catalog Items, Widgets, and Workflows.
* Utilize UI Builder to design and configure modern, scalable user interfaces.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Support CSM (Customer Service Management) implementations with configuration, customization, and integration.
* Explore and implement NowAssist and AgentAI capabilities to improve automation, intelligence, and customer experience.
* Ensure compliance with coding standards, performance optimization, and platform best practices.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within ServiceNow applications.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
* Strong expertise in Script Includes, Service Portal development, and UI Builder.
* Proficiency in ServiceNow Scripting, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS, React for ServiceNow customizations.
* Experience in ACL, Service Catalog, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Reporting/Dashboards.
* Ability to work in Agile / Scrum methodology.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)
* Certified System Administrator (CSA).
* ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
* Implementation experience in Customer Service Management (CSM).
* Exposure to NowAssist (GenAI features) and Agentic AI solutions
