4/14/17 UPDATE – We are continuing to see checks cashed, now for both service centers. They are all Advanced Degree. Also, someone is spreading around a FAKE screenshot from what looks like the USCIS website saying how many petitions were filed. Check the bottom right of the picture and you’ll see they copied the old info from 2015. Please don’t share it unless you verify it!
I can officially confirm for immigrationgirl.com readers that we have had our first filing fee checks cashed for cap-subject H-1B petitions.
The first one is an Advanced Degree (Master’s) cap petition filed at the California Service Center.
It is odd that USCIS has yet to announce that the lottery was conducted or how many petitions filed. Although they have done so earlier in the past few years, they often like to make announcements late on Friday afternoons, so maybe we’ll get confirmation tomorrow. Stay tuned!
